Whether blanketed in
snow or blazing with color, the mountains and valleys
of Plumas
National Forest surrounding Grizzly Ranch are
something to experience. Explore the trails and varied
terrain on foot or mountain bike – or horseback,
like the early settlers. In winter there’s Nordic
skiing, as well as snowshoeing and snowmobiling to
keep you on the go.
In spring and summer, brilliant wildflowers
cover the meadows; in autumn, the forests sport some
of California’s most dazzling foliage. More
than 360 species of birds wing their way here, adding
immensely to local wildlife viewing.
